Deck The Everything Day

Deck the Everything Day is an official holiday from Homegoods that marks November 1st as the perfect time to start decking the halls with reckless abandon.

According to a recent HomeGoods survey, 56% of holiday decorators feel judged for decking the halls before Thanksgiving. But why wait? The earlier you decorate, the longer you get to bask in the cheer!

To build hype for the first annual DTED celebration, we teamed up with Broadway icon (and unapologetic early decorator) Kristin Chenoweth to make it a monumentally merry occasion. Through social content, in-store experiences, and a life-sized gingerbread house pop-up in NYC, we invited fans to go big, go bold, and—most importantly—go early, without fear of side-eye from judgy neighbors.

Deck the Everything Headquarters

At the stroke of midnight on 11/1, we unveiled a life-sized gingerbread house pop-up in Madison Square Park. Guests stepped into a world of early holiday cheer and left with visions of HomeGoods decor dancing in their heads.

It was cleverly disguised for Halloween, proving it’s perfectly acceptable to go from ghosts to garlands.

Shameless early decorators/influencers helped us spread the word about Deck the Everything HQ on social.
